Keep Rockin’ @ Memphis.. November 26, 2007

Last Weekend was thanksgiving weekend. It was a true de-stress weekend after all the rough patch I went through. Alex and me took a road trip to Memphis and I must say I feel like home when I was in Memphis. Why? Mostly b’coz Memphis have the best BBQ ribs n pretty good music.. 

We party away the nite at BB King club at Beale Street. Yeah the famous B.B King was from Memphis. Not to mention Memphis is the home of Rock n Roll King, Elvis. I never thought I would dance to rock n roll music but I guess traveling had changed my interests and perceptions. There goes the saying at beale street everyday is mardi grass..

Besides the pretty good music, Memphis is famous for delicious BBQ Ribs. I had the best bbq ribs at blues café at beale street. The atmosphere at this dinner-style café is so classics, I love the worn out deco. It reminds me of those café in the 70’s show. The best bet on menu is that Memphis Staple, Barbeque. Oh, my buddy sook fun would love this.The BBQ ribs are as good as the bbq piglet I had in Thailand.  

We also took a river cruise ride along the beautiful Mississippi river . We must be out of our mind to take a river cruise at almost 0’ degree out there. We missed lots of beautiful view as we stay inside the deck most of the time. It was too cold to be out there but we manage to snap few pictures.There was a pretty good band in the boat that kept us entertained. It was not that bad if it wasn’t for the cold weather.  

Most peoples who had been to Memphis gave Memphis a bad review bcoz of the city looks a bit old and there are rumors of not so safe in the downtown . As for me I feel so much at home bcoz it reminds me so much of Thailand.  The old n worn out shops, the party street , the turn on bbq ribs reminds me it was as though I m in Bangkok,. Alex n me definitely will return there to cure our home sick.

Current mood : romantic but grumpy like an old fart. 

 It’s autumn and it’s beautiful. I love when the leaves changed color, it makes me feel romantic. Forgive me for being cheesy, tureens r born to be romantic by nature. I love to  walk by the lake in the evening, the view is breath taking. I have discover another remedy for stress relief too..try the beach bum blonde ale beer. Does it taste good? Oh yeah it taste as good as its name..love it.. 

Last week was a stressful week.. I got a 8-5 job..yeah u heard me right ..its a office job..i have to get my ass to sit for 8 hours a day..i have always against office job bcoz of the long hours .Here I am, getting a taste of my own words. I finally understand why sok fun left her bank job to sales job. I bet she couldn’t stick her ass for 8 hours every day. Sok fun, here I m going through your path, let me know your remedy for keeping yourself awake at work. Thank god, the caffeine and the chips keep me awake.  I wonder if my charming boss would allow me to bring the blonde ale to work..hahah..

Though its not my first encounter working with the Americans but I am still kind of nervous when I am around my collegues. I guess I still haven’t adjust nicely to the new environment. I am pretty anxious when I am at work . I wonder why? Hehehe. I have a feeling my new officemates thinks I m either a very uptight person or a geek. Wish me luck in getting along with my new collegues for the coming weeks.

Self Realization : I need to be more matured . Thanks Justin for letting me know I have been crazier than ever. LOL

Sexiest Scariest Halloween Partyyy ;) November 5, 2007

Last week i had the scariest sexiest halloween party..it was a blast..that was my first ever awesome costume party..can u believe it ..it is my first halloween party after 26 yrs of living.. u cant blame me coz in malaysia we dont celebrate halloween but we have similar ocassion which is the ghost nite..there r no tricks or treats..we celebrated it with prayers and munching junk foods at the end of nite..lame..

The costume nite at discovery bar was awesome ..everyone was dressed up in the best hot costumes..oh my god i saw hot police officers, sexy witches, drag cheerleaders and one fellow dress up as a banana..lol..think that was crazy? they r even crazier guys who dress up in nothing but g-strings…

The best part was all of us boogie together in our costumes and it was hilarious ..oh not to mention i get to whip the ass of the police officer..need to say more?..aww
