Happy Merdeka Day Malaysia!

 

I promise a friend to write abt merdeka.

Well, merdeka means independence and it is my country 51^st independence day!  Happy Burdaee Malaysia!

I am so dam proud of Malaysia despite a lots of political news lately. I grew up to love every race of people becoz of Malaysia. My country consists of many races of people from malay, chinese , indian and the list goes on. Our country population stand over 25 millions plp. We gained our independence on 31 August 1957. Malaysia were once ruled by British Empire and because of that our education is still very much British alike. Our culture, our educations, our foods , we r very much influence by British .  I realize part of the reason why the American having sum hard time to understand me is bcoz i speak british english. However now i have learn sum american slang and sum ghetto slang. Thanks to all my buddies here.

 

On this day I salute my country and I m down with one margarita and 2 beer to celebrate this special day! All my friends down few pitchers of beers to celebrate together, everybody is happly drunk!

Life, job and friendship.. August 27, 2008

 

Last Sundae I had a reunion with all my gofrens at Panda Restaurant . We had so much food, the buffet was dam good. It was chinese and japanese foods affair. I never hav chinese buffet before in my country . The sushi is off the chain coz’ consider we only paid 10 bucks per pax. We bitch abt our work , we bitch abt life’s and we ate and ate until almost pass out.

Today is a good day coz’ sumone help me out at work. Being medical assistant is a tough job, it also depends on your luck where u work. The place I worked is hectic. I thought my job is tough but that was before I saw what my colleagues did today. She really had a tough one. She had to scope sum peanut butter aka shitz into some container for lab testing. Eeeww. Well, I can do patient assessment, patient care and filing but not peanut butter scoping. Lol. That is gross esp I have a very sensitive stomach, I will throw up easyly. I dont know how she did it and I have full respect for her. Well someone gotta do the job but it aint me. Somehow i feel my job aint that bad now..lol.

 

Merdeka is around the corner , so Happy Merdeka day Malaysia. I still remembered every merdeka I would have some wine with my Sok Fun at the balcony of our apartment overview the KL twin towers. We get to watch the fireworks exclusively every yr,  that was a dam sweet memory.

 

P/s: Sok Fun, I hope u hav fun watching fireworks n getting wasted this merdeka holiday. lol.

 

Girls Nite Out.. August 24, 2008

 

 

 

 

Weekend was pretty cool, Ecka and me hang out at the West End Bar. Just chilling out and listen to the live band. It turn out to be pretty fun nite as we caught up with a cute boy and his friends. He is good on the dance floor and fun to be with but self confessed gay. They r all beautiful plp . Geez, all the cute guys r gay? Lol. It ain’t my first time some gay or bi plp hit on me at the club. I must hav the gay radar.Anyway we left early as I dont like to stay up to graveyard hour.

 

The next day Ecka and me chill out by the pool and hav some girls talk. We had some pink panties which is pink lemonade with vodka . I did try out to make another new drink which is dirty martini but it tasted horrible. Eeeww it taste real dirty , its sour and spicy. Smell like dirty underwear as well. Lol.

 

Tonite I will meet up with fancy pants for some chinese foods . We gonna dig in and bitch abt our work. I wonder how that bitch do on her job..lol..

 

 

Malaysia August 20, 2008

~D amazing weather and beaches in Msia~

 

Last Weekend was pretty descent, no drunkeness though Idid went out for few drinks at underground pub. They have pretty good boys band. I came to know Bob Dylan is coming to town next week.

 

This is my first week working at the diagnostic center. I m pretty much worn out consider this is my first job involve mental and physical skills. Most of my past jobs involved only mental skills where by I talk to customers and conduct training. This if my first time that i have to deal with mental and physical stress at work. Basically i have to do everything from patient assesment to patient care. It is absolutely a killer experience. Luckly i have some wonderful collegues who made my day seems better.

 

Most of my colleagues they asked me where do I came from? Most American do not know where is Malaysia and those who know abt msia is usually through some scandalicious news. Every now and then I have to explain that Malaysia is next to Thailand. Everyone seems to know Thai, I guess Thai is famous for their hot food and hot ho’s girls .Well I have to admit Thai is a pretty exotic and sexy country, I used to go there so often that I could actually live there.

 

There are lots of bad controversial news abt Malaysia esp after 9/11 incident. I have to straighten things up that my country is not a terrorist country. Indeed I used to live happily in the capital of Msia which is kuala lumpur. Well, Kuala Lumpur is a busy buzzling metropolitan city , some find it hectic but for me its alright as I m very much a city girl. Kuala Lumpur’s to me is like California, its a place where anything could happen- u could party hard, work hard, and live hard, which is perfect lifestyle for me.

 

I love my country despite the bad economy and scandalicious politics issues. Malaysia is an amazing country where it is hot and humid all year long, it suits me well bcoz’ I love water sports . We have so many different races of people living together in one place and the diversity of foods and cultural is amazing. The sandy beaches are beautiful and with few hours drive u could chill out by the beach. Though there r some political issues lately but I believe all country hav their own scandals. I ain’t a patriot but I always see things in a positive way. I do love America as much as I love Malaysia and i believe every country has its own history and excitement. I guess I have a deeper conncetion with my country as its where i grew up.  When you grew older u tend to go back to your roots. Am i old? Nah, i m just sentimental. lol

Congrats to Malaysian Badminton Player Lee Chong Wei who make it to semi-final at Beijing Olympics.

Nitemare from the past .. August 13, 2008

 

How do u deal with the nitemare from the past?..

 

I m known among my friends, I dont talk much abt my past . In the past I lead a miserable life esp family issues. I do not grow up as normal kid as I have a so call dysfunctional family. It was not a bad thing after all coz’ it made me a stronger person. Somehow someone out there consistently remind me of my past. I hav a gofren , she is young and smart . Culture are different here , they love to share abt their family issues. In my country it was like a taboo to talk abt family issues. My Gofren love to tell me abt how her family consistenly shut her down from achieving her dreams. I understand exactly what she went through. Well I dont know if I have gave her the right advise as I told her no one should think for u , except yourself. I felt like I m kind of screw up her mind. Mayb I m right and mayb I m wrong. I just hope she could stand on her own feet someday and realize happy family is like ghost story u always hear one but u hardly see one.

 

She asked me how to deal with it? Nothing much u can do about it, suck it up and move on. Somehow travelling n meeting new friends will heal your broken soul. New friends , new cultures will make you feel u hav another part of beautiful life. It works for me, after being a way from home for a while I kind of missing my Compulsive Obsessive Disorder mum. She used to nag me on everything . We share a hate and love relationship. We hate each other attitude but we love each other at the same time. Isn’t it an amazing relationship?

 

I have much more of an open-policy where by my friends often comes from different races and different background . I have been told abt my bad choices of friends coz of my open policy . I felt sorry for them coz when u r judgemental u will never learn abt anything. It is fascinating to know abt new culture and new friends, perhaps I m a sucker when it comes to something new and exciting.

America Boozing vs Malaysia Boozing August 10, 2008

 

Weekend in little rock pretty much nothing to do except booze yourself with alcohols to down your boredom. So my friends and I went to a so called sports bar near by Markham . I dont see any pool tables or sports stuff at the bar , all I see few old hens and old dicks  men.  It was a boring bar but I guess when u r in little rock u cant expect much scene like california. No hot chicks or either hot dudes.*bored* I down myself two glasses of whiskey and I start to sing along with some old skool musics. Thats the beauty abt alcohols it that kept u entertained, it turn the world beautiful, it turn ugly musics to soul musics, it turn ugly plp to eye candy .

 

Speaking abt boozing here, America definitely provides the best boozing or entertainment budget. When I was in my country, roughly a weekend with friends u could expect to spend RM100-300(which is USD 100) a nite for entertainment at a bar or club. Worst still, most clubs in Msia they required you to open a bottle of liquer before you enter the club. My buddy fred used to give me skeptical comment as” if they hav rules to pay that much to get in they should have rules to eliminate ugly plp to get in”, I m totally with him. Dont get me wrong I have nothing against ugly plp, I believe there r no ugly plp , they r only lazy plp. Sum plp just to lazy to put on sumthing nice b4 they go to club. Well back to the boozing budget, in America here most bar here serve a few dollar beer , dont expect to get anything in my country with few dollar. If u asked for few dollar beer in my country expect the waitress to show u the EXIT sign. Another budget boozing here where I noticed is most American chicks pay for their own boozing where by in my country most men hav to paid for their ladies. Dont get me wrong it is not that Malaysian girls cant afford tp pay their own booze, we are just better financial planner. LoL. Financial plannig is very important so girls make sure u bring along a hot and generous dude for a booze nite out. LOL

 

Let me rephrase this , Neither me or my friends r alcoholics , we r just drinks critiques who drink and bitch abt life’s. I almost forgot to mention I did went to a nicely decorated cupcakes store around the corner, it was the most beautiful cupcake store I ever been and the most horrible cupcake I ever tasted . All I can say is it tasted as though you are spooning few spoons of sugars into your mouth. Boozing taste whole lot better than the nitemare cupcakes.

How To Knock The Interviewers Dead.. August 9, 2008

 

How to score on your Interview aka Intergerrogation?

Last week students fellows are forced to attend several pre-intv, included me myself. I have to force to wear a monkey business suit too.I find it ridicilous .Dont get me wrong, I mean it was a good experience but I already had my intv with the medical center last week and college director. Now another pre-intv? I feel sick of preview , I felt like a criminal being in an intergerrotion room over and over again.We were given tips for intv such as :

wear a monkey suit

get ready your portfolio

put on make up

sit strait no humpy dumpy

wear close toe shoes and close legs( I add this)

Greet and smile

 

I had attended numbers of interviews and had been interviewers too. I had experience in interviews on different position from receptionist to engineer to sales manager. Some of the tips I found it ridiculous like must wear close toe shoes. What close toes shoes gotta do wt intv? I never look at someone feet when I interviewed I look at the face( though I am self confessed shoes fetish) I had successfully killed 9 out of 10 of my interviews even without suit or close toe shoes.

Here are my personal experience based tips for intv :

• research about the job and company u apply for

• dress to kill doesn’t matter in suit or not ( I remembered one of my boss told me that as long as u r looking good means u r professional, if u wear a suit but u look like a 60 yrs old grumpy lady no point) wear something that fits your size esp for suit or jacket.

• prepare your speech about how to sell yourself better than portfolio.

• Know the job requirement before u actually apply, if u r under qualified forget abt it unless u have others extraordinary skills that would overcome your shortness

• Read and analyze your interviewer , compliment him/her on details things another word be a sucker on that day whether u like it or not.

• Prepare to answer all your questions with confident , say it loud . Smile whenever u dont know a questions and apologize that you dont know the answer but u r learning now.

• End of interview: thanks the interviewer for their time and tell them how glad u r selected for that intv.

Plastic nike shoes? cool ..

My favourite town..

Everyone has its own favourite town. Before this it was hadyai in Thailand now it is Memphis. Last weekend Alex and me went to Memphis for a getaway retreat. It was our special date . LoL. This time around, no Elvis home visiting and no drunkenness. It was a pure relaxation and rejuvenate trip. My body and my mind seriously need to refresh after a while in little rock a die hard kampung. LoL. I love Memphis for many reason , most of it for its SOUTHERN foods. I am a big fan of Ribs and Gumbo.

Memphis has the best ribs I ever tasted.It is also the nearest town we could go for the best foods. ( As much as i love to eat good foods i dont like long drive coz’ thinking of the foods on the road it kills me) .My lecturer once told me American plp are fat ass plp bcoz of all this delicious american foods. I cant denied it as I love most american foods esp those in Memphis.

How abt some banana cheesecake? Sounds gross? Well it might sound less exciting but hell it taste dam good. The banana cake served at Quiche and wine bar at downtown was unusual. They served varities of gross name cheesecake like sweet potato, caramel pralines , and more on the lists. I am a sucker when it comes to their peanut butter cheesecake, it taste creamy and rich. Sok Fun, I had eaten an extra on behalf of you. hehe.

After all the high calorries foods fun we had in Memphis,at midnite we drove to Tunica , Mississippi . We proceed to burn some fats at Tunica Casino. Did we hit the jackpot? Lol. If I had won, I would have been bloggin from one of the bar at Mexico.lol. Unfortunely luck wasn’t on my side but I dont really like to gamble as it use too much of my brain. I prefer the buffet table they hav then their  gambling table. I noticed there are many chinese there, i wonder why chinese plp love to gamble. My grandma is one the professional gambler that i knew.

I got a little treat for myself too. Normally I dont post pic of shoes or write about it as I find it is too commercialized or in another word too nerdy. This time around I made an exceptional as this plastic nike shoes is really special and i want to share wt all of u. It looks like a plastic cover on a piece of socks. I love the fact it looks like plastic toys but it is very comfortable. Isn’t the design cool? Alex wanna get one for himself too unfortunely for men size he has to pay twice the price and he thinks that is bull-shit. Lol. I am luckly to hav tiny feet coz’ i get mine at half price. lol. I am personally a shoes fetish but it just doesnt turn me on by bloggin abt my feet and shoes.

~ till’ now, tomorrow is another new beginning. Soon i will get to post about my job at the diagnostic center.

p/s: I never worry about diet, the only carrots interest me are the number of carrots u get in diamond/
