Filed under: travel — crystaltravailler @ 12:53 am

Last day at florida was spend at DisneyWorld. The world rename it as the happiest place on earth. I have to agree on that as i felt like a kid when i was there. There wasn’t many ride in disney magickingdom but there were so much to see . I was blown away when i saw the castle . It was so beautiful and gigantic. It does exist though when i was young i thought it was an animation.

~ awesome castle, i felt like a princess~

~ The performance was entertaining and loveable~ i luv it..

~ The street parade is so much fun to watch~

~ The gigantic disney store that has all disney characters~

~ The Disney All Star resort ~ the cutest hotel i ever stayed~

Overall I had lots of fun in Disney and i will go back someday again for the rest of kingodm in Disneyworld. I am very much a kiddo at heart and i grew up watching goofy and donald shows . For that Disney is always part of my fantasy island.

Overrated Miami Beach October 24, 2008

Filed under: party, travel — crystaltravailler @ 9:37 pm

Third day in florida, alex and me heading off to miami beach. I was so anxious to check out south beach as i m a fan of CSI Miami. We check in to the chesterfield hotel, which is right in the corner of south beach and the hotel deco’ was fun and edgy. I brought along my new bikini just to show off some tan and looking good , heading to the beach. Dam, it was a pure disappointment as the beach is dirty , its full of seaweed. I dont know where it came from and i have photos to proove my words. Call me vain but i never seen this kind of dirty beach except in some small island in my country. I think miami is overrated. If u think miami is nice, wait till u check out Bali, Indonesia. It was much more cleaner, the wave is strong and the beach is clean. Well at least the plp in miami is hot.

~ the chesterfield hotel nice affordable best of all free liquer during happy hours~

~ From far the beach looks so white and clean, wait till u see from near view~

~ look at those black color seaweed is everywhere~ miami south beach really needs a ocean clean up project~

~ Well at least the plp r hot in miami~

~ Beautiful home, gorgeous body and sexy moves belong to Mr Ricky Martin~

~ Finally the best part of the trip is hopping into this powerboat~

~ all soaked up and whatta wild ride~

Now every time i watch CSI miami, my heart fulls with disappointment. I think south beach is overrated .

The day we arrived the weather wasn’t that good. It was cloudy most of the time plus the hotel we stay are quite secluded. Romantic huh? not for party animal like us. lol. Tampa Bay is more of a laid back place for family or retirees. lol. However i couldn’t denied the view was amazing blue.

~ the nite life at ybor city~

It was a quiet nite at ybor city, alex and me assume plp dont party hard on weekday at Tampa. lol. We encounter few funny incidents there where first we were given free hugs by some folks who i guess is drunks then i check out a spanish lady by grabbing her boobs opps i mean i touchingher boobs if those r real and she told me she just bought it. Then finally a religious girl reads us some bible and ask if we wanna go heaven and i was about to tell her i m strait to hell without doubts . LOL.

The next day we went to St. Pete or The pier to check out the beautiful sailing area.

~ Alex and me were about to ride one of this then i forgot that i was in a denim skirt and what on earth am i thinking?

~ we manage to strike a cute pose despite the hot weather~

Later that evening, we went to Clearwater Beach. The name says it all. The water is clear and place is full of things to do. We should have spend more time at this place. We hop on a boat tours to see the house of famous people included Marie Presley.

~ Alex checking out som boat tours~

~ We hop this boat and go around Clearwater beach~

We call in an early nite off without partying as we needs to take some wedding pics at Tampa Bay the next day.  Opps did i say wedding pics? lol..yup we hired a s photographer who looks alike Richard Gere to capture some very special photos for our future wedding receptions in. Dont ask me when as i dont know but we just wanna looks good in some wedding outfits. lol.

Graduation Day.. October 11, 2008

Filed under: life — crystaltravailler @ 6:37 pm

~ we manage to pose before going into graduation hall..

~ suprisingly we r the only two survivors in our groups who made it this far..

~ this the best pic i had, it looks like it was taken at china

~ with our seniors who had been awarded for the best students..

~ My Lecturer Mr T. who once who constantly scold at us

~ All of the graduates for fall 2008

Finally it’s over, the anxiety and nervous , the cracking moments to remember the medical termnology its over. I graduate with an honors and I definitely feel good abt it plus Fantacy and me r the only sole survivor among our group who made it through this far.  We started of about 30’s students in my groups and at the end only 3 of us was there. Fantacy and me we both have a lot in common, we both r lazy and deaf students ( I called it deaf as most of the time we couldnt hear what the lecturer said). Nothing impressed my lecturer Mr T more than having the two stupid students which he used to call us to be there. Though my parents were not there with me but i guess i m used to their absence. They hardly shown up for anything, huh i wonder why? i wish they r just normal parents who is proud of their kids but i guess i m abnormal so as them lol. Then I realize now my self satisfactions matters more than their perceptions.  Well, i m positive that this is not my first graduation and this is not gonna b the last one too… At this moment, i feel i m complete though i am already looking forward for the next adventures.. :)

Miami south beach , watch out surfers dude, watchout hot ho’s , here come the crazy malaysian chick..

p/s:  .. Alex and Quatte were there to cheers me too..whatta wonderful plp in my life’s..XOXO

Fabulous foods.. October 10, 2008

Filed under: foods & alcohols — crystaltravailler @ 6:33 am

Last weekend Alex and me drove 45 mins to another town Conway for some good foods. I love ribs and I think I m gonna miss the ribs here. There ain’t many restaurant which serve ribs in Malaysia. So we went to this place call Market place. The deco was very edgy , it was set up alike the market . The ribs was awesome coz’ it comes with sweet potato fries. I never know sweet potatoes can taste that good. The best was the flaming cheese dip. I love it as they serve in a skillet plus set it up on fire. It reminds me of flaming Lamborghini cocktails. I haven’t seen any American bar that serve that cocktails yet, it was a mix cocktails with flaming fire and u sip in between the fire . I used to like when I was young but now I don’t think I can take that heat anymore . Everything on the menu was new to me, even the pasta. We had this jambalaya pasta and it taste real good. The only part I dont fancy is this town is a dry county aka no alcohol. Sucks isn’t it? Ribs should always goes with some good beer or wine. I think i m gonna go there n have the ribs again before i leave the states. lol. I m gonna put on lots of weight when i return home.

p/s: Tomorrow is finally the day i have been waiting for..my graduation day.. yipeeee !

Foreign land + new culture = .. October 3, 2008

Filed under: life, travel — crystaltravailler @ 5:23 am

I personally wants to share my personal experience with friends who is living in foreign place right now esp to Jerame who is in Japan.

Jerame is a American and obviously he gonna face difficulties to adapt to Asian culture especially japan with so much do and dont’s. As for me as an Asian I have so much do and dont’s that I find it difficult to adapt to the open policy in America. When I first came to the states, plp thought I was dumb coz’ I dont talk much. I dont talk about family or relationship or bedroom affair but the American likes to talk abt it wether at work or at school or at social place. They have this open policy to talk abt everything. This amazed me at the same time made me feel uneasy esp to know the private life’s of other plp. Even the strangers always talk to me where by in my country my mum used to taught me not to talk to strangers. People r bold and honest , they say what they think. Sometimes I get flatter when I was compliment by strangers but at the same time I felt uneasy as I dont talk to strangers a lot. As time goes by, I began to like this open policy coz it is good to have a non-judgemental and honest society.

Besides the open policy , American work policy is different too. They tend to follow all the rules and regulations where by in my country the efficiency of work is more important. For example I didn’t know that everything has to be schedule wether to go to clinic or to the salon. I am used to the walk in policy in my country. One time I was so sick that I went to see the doc at the clinic, besides the long wait , I have to buy my own medication at pharmacy with the prescription by the doc. In my country I m used to see the doc and get my medication at the same time. Therefore i doubt the efficiency of work here.

When I m down, I got pissed and angry , one time I was about to pack my stuff to return home as I dont think I can understand the American anymore. Lol. Well that was a year ago and now to know I m leaving soon, it break my heart to say goodbye to my beautiful friends here.

So to my friend Jerame , I understand how u struggle to fit into the japan culture .  At this time u just need to stay strong and take this journey as to learn and adapt . Somehow if u have decided to return home, I am happy for u coz’ there is no where in the world is better than home.
